I am looking for a forever home for a 1.5-year-old Shepherd-Mix, a very friendly and gentle female with a stable character, two different colored eyes and, sadly, cropped ears. I found her in a parking lot alongside another, much smaller dog, she seemed to have paired up with and to protect. Despite being very scared during her rescue, she not once showed any signs of aggression, and she remained gentle and loving throughout. She's perfect for someone with an active lifestyle who understands the needs of a working dog breed like hers. Since being found, she has been registered (she has a European Pet Passport now), dewormed, vaccinated, and thoroughly examined by a vet in Nicosia who confirmed her excellent health—though she is currently underweight at 20 kilos, with an ideal weight of around 25 kilos. When I found her, she was already chipped, indicating that she once had a family out there who cared for her. Unfortunately, the chip was not registered. As my landlady has a very strict no-pets policy, I've been forced to place her in a kennel willing to take her in, to ensure she gets the care she needs. I've been covering expenses of 250 euros per month for boarding since rescuing her in October, in addition to food, and veterinary care. I have grown to love her dearly during our time together and I'd love to keep her myself. Unfortunately, my semester abroad is coming to an end, and since I've already rescued a dog and a cat that I sent to Austria to live with my family until I go back, I am unable to provide her with the forever home she so clearly deserves.
