Alfie was found on the street and brought to a clinic, where he stayed for several weeks before our volunteer took him into foster care. From day one it was clear he used to live in a home — he knows basic commands, walks beautifully on a leash (even untangles himself ), doesn’t pull and listens carefully. He’s calm, affectionate, loves being close to people, and gets along great with children.
He’s about 1.5 years old, neutered and healthy. Alfie has leishmaniasis — but don’t worry, it’s easily managed with inexpensive daily medication and doesn’t affect his quality of life.
On walks he’s confident, not afraid of cars, brings the ball back and loves to play. He may get a bit sad when left alone, but with routine and attention this can be worked on. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playing with his foster friends
Alfie is kind, smart and truly adorable — perfect for a cozy home, whether it’s a house or an apartment.
