💔 When Thetis was abandoned at the shelter, she watched her whole world walk away, not knowing she'd never see him again. Thetis is 4 years old and weighs around 15 kg. Before arriving, Thetis had already been abandoned once in someone's garden. Sadly, the person who took her in would abandon her too. When he brought her to the shelter, she was literally clinging to him and trembling with fear. She stared into his eyes and wouldn't look away. The volunteers told him she would struggle here. It was obvious how deeply she loved him. They pleaded with him not to leave her. But he did. For months, Thetis howled with heartbreak. She barely ate and showed little interest in the affection we offered. It took endless patience, dedication and love to help her heal and learn to trust again. Today, she is a completely different dog. Happy, energetic and full of life, Thetis loves playing with balls and toys, running, and spending time outdoors. She walks very well on a leash, gets along well with other dogs, and is generally very devoted and protective of her person. Because young children make her anxious, we believe she would do best in a calm home without them. Thetis is a truly special girl looking for someone with a big heart who will give her the second chance she deserves. All she needs is a peaceful home, patience, and lots of love.
